Help Safeguard Rights of People with the Human Rights Committee!

Envision’s Human Rights Committee is seeking new members to help safeguard rights of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities that are receiving services in Weld County!

The purpose of the Human Rights Committee (HRC) is to provide a third party mechanism to safeguard the rights of persons receiving services. The HRC is an advisory and review body.

The HRC will review specific programmatic and/or procedural issues and will then offer recommendations for approval, need for change or need for possible further actions to Envision Adult Case Management and/or program approved service agencies within the sphere of the responsibilities of the HRC in order for such agencies to fulfill procedural requirements established in statute and regulation.

Envision’s HRC regularly scheduled meetings are the fourth Wednesday of every month from 12:30p to 4p. A quorum of three HRC members must be present for decision making. Envision Adult Case Management (ACM) will provide a liaison and administrative support to organize and manage the meetings.

Each HRC member will be provided orientation training and asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. After completion, HRC members are asked to commit to attending HRC meetings, where they will review information provided to help safeguard the rights of people supported through Envision.

Upcoming Orientation:

February 21st, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
